Calling all Volunteers
Your club needs you. We have a job that will fit your abilities and schedule. Students that need volunteer hours, give us a call. It takes volunteers to keep a club going.

Thank you all Volunteers!

As the 2017/18 snowmobile season is beginning it is only fitting to thank all the volunteers that make up our club.  Without all of you it would not be possible to have the trails.  Trail preparation begins long before the snow flies.  Each year all the stakes and signs (approx. 500) have to be put up according to instructions from the Risk Management team at the OFSC office.  This is done by a small group of volunteers, who are snowmobilers just like you.  Contrary to the often-asked question, no they are not paid to do this nor do they get a free trail permit, their only payment is either a free breakfast before going out or free pizza and beverage after their return to the clubhouse.

With the new funding format and way of doing business, you Athens & District Snowmobile Club has decided to no longer belong to the Leeds & Grenville Snowmobile Association, but to become a standalone club once again.  The only difference you as permit buyers will see is when you go on- line to purchase you permit, you can now change your club to Athens by choosing the change button on your profile if you have an existing account or if you are a new on-line permit buyer just search by typing in Athens.  By becoming a standalone club, we have control over the trails and how our money is spent on maintaining them.  This includes getting the trails ready and grooming.

As a member any and all help you can give would definitely be welcome.  Even 1 day can make a big difference.  Students looking for you community volunteer hours are always welcome to help on the trails or during our fundraising events like wing nights.  We are proud of our club and its members.  Help us maintain the trail system and enjoy your ride.

REMEMBER BUYING A TRAIL PERMIT PAYS FOR THE TRAIL PREPARATION AND GROOMING OF THE TRAILS.  WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT THERE WILL BE NO TRAILS.

Because of your generosity with the use of your land, it allows us to enjoy our sport.

The Trail Permit is valid only when permanently affixed in the approved areas so that it is fully visible to a person standing 10 metres in front of the machine on its centerline. Remove the old permit first. Avoid placing your new permit directly on top of your old one. With the new translucent permit materials, the old one may show through.
